Reverend Ted Haggard: deviant, deceiver, douche

In case you've forgotten or never knew, this is Reverend Ted Haggard who used to have a weekly conference call with the President.

Note that while many Christians claim that either the Old Testament is somehow less important than the new (that part about homosexuals is from Leviticus in the Old testament) or that no one literally interprets the Bible, that is precisely what Haggard, a major figure in Evangelical Christianity (which makes up almost half of the Christians in America), is clearly stating. I doubt I have to remind people that if we are saying homosexuality is wrong because that's what it says in the Bible, then children must be put to death for disrespecting their parents.

Here he is confessing to having lifelong gay sex.

Here he is admitting to "buying" meth, but not using it. Yeah because that's how people generally first try out a hard drug, by seeking out a male prostitute to purchase it from. What ever happened to the first one being free, what's the world coming to? He might as well have said, "I didn't inhale."

You'll be happy to know that he's no longer a preacher, but he is at the University of Arizona trying to earn a degree in psychology, although in 2007 he did have to ask for donations to help fund his education, despite the $138,000 severance he received after the scandal broke in 2006 (not to mention the six figure salary he had been earning before it). Hopefully the psychology degree will give him the faculties to better deceive, brainwash and indoctrinate people.

Here he is just being a douche, thankfully the creator of video edited in some John Stewart in an attempt to offset the douchey-ness, sadly an impossible feat.

I guess lying to everyone you know for your whole life and telling people they'll go to hell for doing what he had repeatedly done puts him in a place to criticize, patronize and badger a renowned scientist and philosopher.
